When i was a freshman I had never really written a paper. I had no idea what MLA format was, and i had definitely never used it. My struggles then were trying to figure out MLA and how to structure a paper. Now I have more trouble filling in and expanding on my thoughts. Now teachers have much higher expectations, and they don't always explain what they want very well. A lot of teachers expect us to know how and what to wright, when the reality is most of us have no idea what to do. Teachers always tell us that we are going to need this later in our lives, but i don't really see how writing about something we don't care about will help us in anyway. Writing about something we know about, or care about, would help us be better writers.

My Hero

My hero would have to be my brother Tyler. He has always been there for me and I cant think of anyone else I look up to as much as him. I always have fun when i'm with my brother and i'm proud of him for everything he has done in his life. I know my brother will always be there for me and would drop anything to help me if i needed it. I cant think of anyone who has more fun or enjoys life as much as he does. He's the biggest kid i know and i cant think of a thing i would change about him. Even though he may be obnoxious at times, he is still my hero.
